I wanted to design a terrarium that could specifically house tall, narrow plants like orchids. In the Victorian Era, early terrariums fueled the orchid craze, or "Orchidelirium." They made it possible to transport orchids by ship, and expeditions were launched to bring rare varieties back to wealthy collectors in Britain and Europe. 

• Dimensions: 6"L X 6"W X 15"H 
• Hand-cut glass is wrapped in copper foiled and solder by hand using traditional stained-glass techniques
• A routed wood base holds the glass securely in place and is handcrafted in-house
• Designed to function as a closed terrarium with easy access for plant care
